Is this the opening that was floating around a few months ago, when the DVDs came out in Japan? With all the text supposedly explaining the lyrics and making it more difficult to read?
I loved that video. Didn’t make it any easier to sing along to, but if you -did- know the lyrics, it was hilarious.
What in the name of the rose is Konata doing? It looks like she’s assaulting us with words!

Anyway, I remember watching this and being assaulted by subtitles.
It was on the first Japanese DVD. It seemed to me like a big “put that in your pipe and smoke it” to the fansubbers and their fancy karaoke effects. Since it was included as a non-credit OP it also means that no true “clean” vesion of the opening has been released so far (one would have to have been provided to Bandai in order to make the english credits so it does exist and will hopefully be included on the R1 DVDs at some point).
