I remember yo-yo balloons from a yealry carnival where I up in San Diego, California, USA.

Some yo-yo balloon-related photos I just now looked up on Flickr:
Fishing for waterballoons
Japanese yoyo
YoYo Balloons

I've never seen them as big as the ones in the last photo there. The ones I always had were smaller balloons. The part that makes it fun is the water inside. When you toss it down (like a yoyo), the water helps way it down, then the rubber of the balloon pulls back up, and the water gives it force it hit back into your hand.

It really is one of those simple childhood joys. Like a hoop and a stick. Not that I'm that old to have played with a hoop and a stick!

I don't mind the subjective episode summaries; I think that most, if not all people who read this, have already seen CCS, and read your posts for that mix of humor, commentary, and the trip through the way-back machine. I know it's a way for me personally to recall the great times of CCS, while noting all the things that I was too juvenile or too anime-n00b to catch the first time around.

Chiharu and Yamazaki are a fun pair, although I don't know their relationship could remain entertaining for 25 minutes at a time. Still, I've exhibited this sentiment enough with other anime comedy duos that some sort of Monty Python-like spinoff show with a bunch of sketches featuring these background characters seems like an interesting idea.

Ah, Card Captor Sakura. One of my top 10 favorites. Those were the days even though I only finished the series about 3 or 4 years ago. Nice to see someone talking about it to perhaps interest those who haven't really seen it yet.

The relationship that grows between Sakura and Li is so cute.
