I’ve got the two-month State Of The Check post waiting, but this is a great deal more fun.

Yes, I have seen episode one of Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS. Yes, I enjoyed every minute of it. Yes, I will probably blog quite a bit more about it in the very near future.

Maybe in the near future I’ll rewatch the episode and judge it a bit more objectively, pointing out all the flaws and how they could have done things better. But for those twenty-five minutes or so, it had been glorious. Don’t watch it with any expectations of story or plot progression, but all you need to keep in mind is your love for the series, and you’ll be enjoying this as well. (Conversely, if you didn’t like the first two seasons, there’s not really much here for you.)

Since I’ll probably be waiting for a more high-quality source than the admittedly grainy first-released raw, I’ll leave the episode summary for later, and instead ramble on about the various magical devices seen in the opening animation for StrikerS. There are nine of them (yes, nine), with a very real possibility that more will get added as the series continues on.

EDIT: Replaced the old screencaps with marginally better ones. Well, maybe not that much better, but at least the letterboxing is gone.
